The night of January 5th 2009  a catastrophic fire destroyed Whiteman Lumber, save our office and kiln.  As the oldest operating lumber mill in Idaho we believe it is our responsibility to continue this important tradition, and are currently rebuilding Whiteman Lumber as quickly as possible.  As time permits we will be updating this site with pictures of the fire, and our progress in reconstructing the mill.  We would like to thank the community for their continued support, and specifically those who reported the fire and had the foresight to remove what heavy equipment they could. Thank you.

 

Welcome to Whiteman Lumber.  We are a custom manufacturer of high grade rough and surfaced timbers.  Our mill specializes in supplying home and commercial builders and we take pride in our ability to meet highly specified orders.  We use Douglas-fir, Western Larch, Engelmann Spruce, Hemlock, Grand Fir, and Lodgepole Pine.  Our products include beams, rafters, mantels, stair treads, bridge decking, anything that requires special sizing.  We use a circular saw for timbers that require a rustic look, and are capable of surfaced lumber in various dimensions.  We also provide custom onsite kiln drying.  Try us; no order is too small!
